The Renaissance Church of RdP is an evangelical Baptist church, a member of the Canadian Fellowship, established for over 30 years in Rivière-des-Prairies, a neighborhood in the east end of Montreal.
Its primary goal is to proclaim the work of grace of Jesus Christ on the cross in words and actions
A few years ago, the entire congregation enthusiastically participated in a program proposed by our pastor, Hugo Éthier, with the aim of pushing us out of our comfort zone and making an impact in our community. The church became more active.
A large annual fundraising sale for a local charity, a partnership with Chapi-Chapo food bank (which occupies part of our building, which had become too small), door-to-door prayer outreach in the neighborhood, a concert in a park, and other activities are the results of this course.
A Mission Statement was written and adopted by the entire congregation. Here it is:

“Let us shine in the community in word and deed to make known the love of God in Jesus Christ and strengthen one another.”
We are currently fundraising for the purchase of a new building, which is one of the four objectives the congregation has set for the coming years.
