The Ignite Youth Centre is a project of the Elgin-St. Thomas Youth Employment Counselling Centre. It is a free, fun, safe, inclusive, and supportive resource and drop-in space for all youth ages 12 to 18 in Elgin County.

The Ignite Youth Centre provides age appropriate and daily programming for youth in a safe, friendly, and positive environment. Our staff is dedicated to making sure that all who attend the Centre feel welcomed, respected, supported, and validated. Our live and let live policy allows youth to be themselves without fear of judgement, and provides youth with the freedom to explore new and build upon existing creative outlets and skills.

The Ignite Youth Centre offers a multitude of different programs for youth to enjoy while learning new skills, building confidence, and making lifelong friendships. Some of our programs include Art Club, Coaches Corner, Drop-in Counselling, Eat Smart, Express Yourself, Homework Club, Movie Night, Recreation, Smart Decisions for Success, Table Talk, Talk It Out, and Tech Free Thursday just to name a few. 

The Ignite Youth Centre collaborates with a number of community partners to ensure that each youth that walks in the door leaves as a more well-rounded member of our community. In addition, the Ignite Youth Centre could not provide this necessary service to the youth of our community without the generous contributions made by local businesses, service clubs, and individuals.
