Elmwood Residences Inc., a not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1969 is dedicated to providing community-based residential supports and services for adults with intellectual disabilities in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, our intention was, and continues to be, to provide support that reflects a nurturing family home environment that fosters lifelong growth, well-being, choice and inclusion.
We specialize in delivering high-quality care and services to adults with interwoven intellectual, medical and physical needs, ensuring they are meaningfully included in their community. Elmwood currently operates fifteen community homes in addition to our Kinsmen Manor for individuals needing full-time, residential support. We also offer one of Saskatchewan’s largest Supportive Independent Living Programs (SILP), a skills-based mentorship service for individuals living independently with their disabilities. In addition to our care and support services, we provide financial trust services, engaging recreational programs and a Community Inclusion Day Program.
