The Chinchpada Christian Hospital serves some of the poorest people in its district – people who have often been failed by traditional healers or for-profit doctors. Praise God, more and more such people are hearing about CCH and coming to our doors. But this blessing is also a challenge. More patients means more pressure – not just on our staff but on our facilities. Currently, our ICU – which has saved so many lives – is too cramped, too full and sometimes we have to had as many as four patients taking turns to use just one ventilator. In addition, the main hospital building, dating back to the 1940s, only has about two years left before it will become unsafe. The situation is quite challenging and far from the standard we want to offer patients.

We have to extend and refurbish our building. We need a new ICU. We need to revamp our 80-year-old main building which is failing. We need a solar power unit to keep our machines running and reduce our dependence on old generators during power failures. And we need an air purification plant to prevent unnecessary airborne infections while vulnerable people are in our care.

Our first goal is to raise $160,000 to rebuild the main hospital and build a new ICU. Starting with raising $100,000 so CCH can start the building process immediately. We have raised $50,000 so far and have started preparation for the foundation and plinth. With your help, we can raise the next $50,000. This will help complete the building and the internal plumbing and tiling along with electricity connections.

We have a fully costed project timeline, architect’s plans and visualisations for the work, and a real sense that God is in this project.
