Our Mission
En Marge 12-17 offers help and shelter 12 to 17 year-old youth. We offer more than a bed and a meal.
We help youth discover alternatives to the street.
By developing a connection, intervention workers help them to define and realize their choices for the future.
Our primary goal is to maintain young people as agent of their process of reflection and change.
As such, youth use our organization on a voluntary basis.
En Marge 12-17 strives to create a space where young people can feel at home---
a place that they can call their own.
With youth: our goal is to accompany them in their search for alternatives to the street by providing safe housing and opportunities to develope life-skills, to build self-esteem, and to practice responsable decision-making.
With parents: our goal is to accompany, support, and counsel parents of street-involved youth in order to help them fulfill their role as parents, no matter how difficult their child's situation.
For social change: our goal is to work to prevent youth homelessness by collaborating with other community organizations to defend the rights of young and marginalized citizens as well as to share knowledge about the realities of running away and street life.
