HELP US HELP THE HOMELESS SURVIVE THE WINTER
This winter, why not be a catalyst for change. For as little as $25, you can help sponsor a Winter Survival Kit, which will help keep someone alive and warm this winter. DONATE TODAY and join us as we help the homeless survive the winter.
Winter is hard on everyone, but it's hardest on those living on the street. As it gets colder outside, many of us bundle up in front of the fireplace with loved ones, dining tables laden with delicious food. But not the homeless - for them, it's really about survival. When faced with extreme winter weather, many homeless people have nowhere to go to escape the cold, wet and dangerous conditions.
PROJECT WINTER SURVIVAL is an Engage and Change initiative that assembles and distributes winter survival kits to the homeless in the GTA and beyond. The survival kits, which contain items such as sleeping bags, clothing, food and personal care items, often make the difference between life and death.
Now in it's 20th year, Project Winter Survival and a team of volunteers and donors have assembled and distributed more than 35,000 kits to over 185 front-line social service agencies and homeless shelters including the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Covenant House, Out of the Cold, and more.
