Donation Campaign: “Helping People Leave the Streets, One Person at a Time”
In Drummondville, your generosity can save lives this winter
Drummondville, December 2025 — As the frigid temperatures and holiday season approach, Ensoleilvent Emergency Shelter and Homelessness Services, active since 1984, is launching its new MAIL-OUT donation campaign to provide vital support to people experiencing homelessness in our community.
Under the theme “Give Close to Home, Take Action for Your Community,” this initiative aims to mobilize the citizens of Drummondville to respond to the winter emergency and the growing need for reception, shelter, and psychosocial support services.
A Critical Winter for People Experiencing Homelessness
Each winter, vulnerable individuals face serious risks associated with extreme cold: hypothermia, isolation, food insecurity, and the lack of safe places to spend the night.
Thanks to local solidarity, we can help people leave the streets one person at a time, by providing:
-
A safe refuge during freezing weather;
-
Access to food, warm clothing, and adapted resources;
-
Support toward stable housing solutions;
-
Essential human support to help them regain stability.
“Together, We Are Stronger”
The MAIL-OUT campaign invites every household to contribute according to their means. Each donation stays within the community and is directly transformed into concrete services for Drummondville’s most vulnerable residents.
“When you give locally, you truly change a life close to home. This winter, every action matters. Together, we are stronger,” emphasizes Ms. Jacinthe Dorr, organizer of this campaign.
