Entraide Bécancour Inc., the main non-profit organization helping families in the city of Bécancour, is launching its major 2025 fundraising campaign.

With a unifying theme, “Together, let’s ensure mutual aid in Bécancour,” the campaign runs from January 7 to June 30, 2025. The goal is to raise $300,000, notably with the support of two prestigious ambassadors, Samuel Montembeault, goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens and a native of Bécancour, and Sister Angèle, who is already very committed to our cause.

The funds raised will be used to build a food distribution centre adapted to meet a higher demand. The centre will also include activities such as preparing soup kitchens, coffee-conferences and the highly sought-after collective kitchens. The construction of this centre will make it possible to better meet the essential needs of the community and will therefore make a significant contribution to promoting mutual aid in our region.

The money raised during this campaign will also finance the acquisition of a community building.
