Send a Child living with Epilepsy to Camp

Remember going to summer camp when you were young? Making new friends you would keep forever, the joy you experienced, and the fun and adventurous activities that refreshed your mind and body?

A $150.00 donation can send 1 child to camp for 1 day.

Epilepsy South Central Ontario’s Sunny Days Camp is a weekly 3-day camp for children living with epilepsy aged 5-14 years, as well as for their siblings. Sunny Days Camp provides a safe and fun way to engage and promote friendships and self-esteem among children with epilepsy, while at the same time encouraging teamwork and developing leadership skills. Siblings are included to give parents some respite and to allow siblings to connect with other siblings of children with epilepsy.

After a Sunny Days Camp experience, teachers have observed that the children start the new school year with enthusiasm and increased self-esteem – it’s an opportunity to continue their learning outside of the traditional classroom.

Sunny Days Camp runs Tuesday to Thursday in both Mississauga/Brampton and Kitchener/Waterloo during the months of July and August.  The camp experience includes specialized outings that are organized weekly.

Sunny Days Camp is looking towards the possibility of expanding this experience to the Hamilton/Burlington region.

Epilepsy South Central Ontario makes the camp accessible for all by making it affordable.

Sunny Days Camp is supported by and relies on corporate sponsorship, public donations, and federal grants.

We need your support to continue the ongoing operation of the camp by making a donation.
