What is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is a day when charities, families, businesses and community around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it is meant to unofficially “open the giving season”.

GivingTuesday at ESWO

Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario is asking the community to consider the #GIFTOFHOPE, through a monthly donation. Even just $20/month will greatly help to support the 1 in 100 people living with epilepsy throughout Southwestern Ontario this holiday season and beyond.

ESWO’s services are free and without government funding, the agency relies heavily on fundraising efforts, donations and assistance from the community to provide support, information and education to individuals and families affected by epilepsy.

This year, please consider making a monthly donation to improve the lives of people living with epilepsy.

Epilepsy can happen to anyone at any time!

It is one of the most common neurological conditions in Canada (second only to headaches) affecting approximately 1 in every 100 people.  

People living with epilepsy often feel like their lives are defined by their epilepsy and they live in fear of their next seizure. When will it happen? Where will they be? Will they be hurt? Will bystanders know what to do? What will they think?

But…there is hope!  

Your donation will help Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario provide supports and services for people living with epilepsy and their families. Services that help families understand an epilepsy diagnosis, help them to navigate the complex medical and social service systems, and help them connect to other families living with epilepsy.
