Our Mission
The Rwanda Education Initiative is a ministry of Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. As part of Evergreen's mission, this ministry is dedicated to helping the children and youth of Rwanda to achieve their greatest potential by providing educational opportunities. TREI builds schools and provides equipment and supplies for the most vulnerable. $20,000 are currently needed to complete phase one of a trade school in Gasharu. The Rwanda Education Initiative
- consults with Rwandan church and government authorities;
- concentrates on remote areas of the country where few opportunities currently exist;
- engage local artisans and labourers for construction;
- involves local "youth at risk," in building program;
- stimulates local economy by purchasing building supplies and equipment locally;
