Continuing the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, the Father Lacombe Care Society is committed to providing person-centred care in the Catholic Tradition.
About Father Lacombe Care Foundation
The Father Lacombe Care Society was founded in 1910 by Father Albert Lacombe and is the oldest Catholic non-profit care centre in Calgary. Serving seniors and adults in need from all faiths and cultures, Father Lacombe Care Centre has 114 residents who are living with physical or cognitive disorders and Providence Care Centre is home to 160 residents who require Supportive Living or Long Term Care. Funds are raised to provide programs that keep bodies moving, brains active and spirits lifted.
We continue to raise funds toward the cost of equipment, furnishings and programs, and to renovate existing buildings. Our two major capital campaigns are to raise the funds to enable us to build a Chapel for the use of the residents, their families, staff and volunteers and to build a Healing Garden to support residents living with dementia, both at Providence Care Centre.
