Guided by Providence, Father Lacombe Care Society provides respectful, dignified and compassionate care that enables our community to enjoy life to the fullest.
About Father Lacombe Care Foundation
The Father Lacombe Care Society was founded in 1910 by Father Albert Lacombe and is the oldest Catholic non-profit care centre in Calgary. Serving seniors and adults in need from all faiths and cultures, Father Lacombe Care Centre has 114 residents in Long Term Care who are living with physical or cognitive disorders and Providence Care Centre is home to 160 residents who require Supportive Living or Long Term Care. Funds are raised to provide programs that keep bodies moving, brains active and spirits lifted.
We continue to raise funds toward the cost of equipment, furnishings and programs, and to renovate existing buildings.
While the current pandemic is overshadowing our traditional fundraising campaign, we have identified ways you can help us to support our residents who are not able to be with their loved ones. Please see our 2020 Pandemic Relief Fund for additional information.
There still remains our two major capital campaigns; Our Lady of Providence Chapel where we have raised the funds to building the building, now we need to furnish it and second to purchase a customized wheelchair accessible bus that will take residents on outings, once we are through the pandemic, thus keeping them connected with their community.
