Activity and engagement are extremely important to keep our brains active and working. Until recently, our residents lived independently in their own homes – it’s hard to give up that part of your life and adapt to a new environment with its own routines.

Resident programs are designed to provide recreation, leisure, education and are based on and responsive to the abilities, strengths, needs and interest of the residents.When participating in programs, we hope the residents have fund and enjoyment. We hope the activities helps to improve self esteem by having success and it creates opportunities to socialize and enjoy companionship

.Program funding helps:

• To maintain the bus on the road to take residents on outings – perhaps an ice cream cone, a drive to the mountains or an adventure to a market.

• Provide for gardening in many of our outdoor gardens. Getting a head start on spring bulbs brings new hope for a new season

• Provide materials for arts and craft activities, music sheets for sing-a-longs, baking materials for those extra special delights.

• Attract a variety of entertainment for the residents’ enjoyment.
