As he approached his 50th birthday, Humberto Martinez, founder of Fêter Autrement, began thinking deeply about how to mark this significant anniversary. Rather than turning to traditional festivities, he felt the need to give a deeper meaning to the event.
This defining moment led him to organize a humanitarian trip to help those living in difficult conditions, where help is in short supply. In 2018, Fêter Autrement saw the light of day with its first humanitarian mission, marking the start of a collective adventure dedicated to mutual aid, solidarity and hope.
This first mission, “50 Years - 50 Families”, took place in San Mateo del Mar, Oaxaca, Mexico, with the aim of offering support and hope to families affected by the September 2017 earthquake resulted in over 77 families being helped.
Our mission
Our efforts are focused first and foremost on meeting the basic needs of the people we meet, with the aim of improving their quality of life. This includes making their homes clean and functional, as well as providing essential material aid including food, school supplies, clothing, shoes, medicines and hygiene products.
But our commitment goes far beyond this: our volunteers are deeply concerned with the well-being of their communities, and devote a great deal of their time to exchanging and dialoguing with their members, in order to break down their isolation.

Celebrating differently means :
- Going directly into the field to help those who need us, face to face, without intermediaries.
- Creating a bond of support and hope between those who want to help and those who need it.
- Bringing a little love and hope to the most vulnerable.
