About Findhelp Information Services
Findhelp Information Services, a United Way member agency, is a community-based non-profit agency that has served the community for over 60 years by providing information and referral services for those in need in our community. Findhelp is acknowledged as a leader in Information and Referral Services (I&R). In May 2002 Findhelp became one of only 11 organizations in all of North America and the first agency in Canada to receive accreditation by InformUSA (formerly Alliance of Information and Referral System)
On June 13, 2002 Findhelp and the United Way launched the first 211-service in Canada. 211Toronto.ca is an online database partner-ed with the 211 Toronto telephone service, which provides one central source of information, up-dated daily, on social services available to the community delivered by trained, multi-lingual Information and Referral specialists, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
