Five Counties Children's Centre is dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs. In partnership with families and communities we strive to enrich their independence and quality of life.
We serve children and youth who have physical disabilities, mild motor impairments and speech and language disorders in the counties of Northumberland, Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton.
Your support will directly impact the day-to-day lives of the children who come through our doors and their families. Among other things, your gift will help provide therapy services that assist children who are delayed in their development to develop the skills they need in everyday life such as walking, talking, and activities of daily living.
A gift to our new Help at Home Program means children and families in the Peterborough area can receive the equipment they need for connection, comfort and support by accessing the majority of our services, including therapy, resources and staff support by virtual means.
Your donation to the Kids Can't Wait Fund allows us to address our children's most immediate needs. Your gift will be directed to the areas of highest priority, meaning funds will be available to help reduce our waiting list so our kids access the life changing treatment they require.
Our Making Dreams Come True Endowment Fund will continue to grow with your gift because only the interest from the fund can be spent (not the capital). This provides a source of funding that helps us ensure financial sustainability for the programs and services that support our kids.
Please give to our kids today. With your help we can make what seems impossible, possible.
What People Are Saying
""Our daughter was born with Cerbral Palsy. Five Counties involved us from the get go and "held our hand" for 19 years until she was discharged. Our daughter graduated from Guelph University where she now works. We owe so much to Five Counties." "
