Fletcher’s Keep Senior Dog Foundation exists to ensure that no senior dog is left to suffer or die alone, and to prevent unnecessary surrender or abandonment simply because their person is struggling.

Our mission is to preserve the human-canine bond by providing medical, practical, and emotional support - and by creating a refuge of last resort where senior dogs in need are valued, loved, and protected when all other options are exhausted.

Every week, we meet seniors, people with disabilities, those on fixed or low incomes, and families in crisis who are facing heartbreaking decisions because they need a helping hand or cannot afford urgent care for their aging dog. Too often, these companions are deeply loved - and their humans are doing everything they can.

That’s where Fletcher’s Keep Senior Dog Foundation steps in.

We offer in-home support, temporary foster care, help cover urgent medical costs, coordinate veterinary care, provide end-of-life comfort, and work to keep senior dogs in their homes, with their people, whenever possible. When staying together is no longer an option, we help ensure a safe, compassionate outcome - not abandonment, not suffering.

Fletcher’s Keep Senior Dog Foundation is a small, 100% volunteer-run registered Canadian charity. Every dollar donated goes directly toward helping often-overlooked senior dogs in need and the people who love them.
