The Flin Flon/Creighton and Area SPCA is a not-for-profit shelter. Our shelter takes in animals that have been surrendered by their families, found in the streets with no home, and even animals that are injured and need taking care of. All of the animals that come into our care are checked over by a veterinarian and given their vaccinations and are neutered/spayed.

The Flin Flon/Creighton and Area SPCA rescues on average, 100 animals a year, since it’s opening in our current location in 2012. We have many cats and dogs that still need to find their FURever home. While they are waiting to find their new family, they live at the shelter, and our amazing staff members feed them and take care of them 365 days a year.

The average annual cost of running the shelter is $150,000. These funds go towards paying our staff members, feeding and caring for the animals, paying for veterinarian costs, which is a huge part of our operating costs. The funds also go towards the costs to keep the shelter open such as utility bills and annual property taxes.
