MISSION
Our mission is to fund biomedical research through the Alexandre-Parks Graduate Scholarships, offered to full-time students enrolled in the doctoral program in Life Sciences at the Université de Moncton, whose field of research is auto-immune enteropathy, auto-immune disease, breast cancer, pulmonary fibrosis or inflammation.
THE FOUNDATION
The Fondation Alexandre-Parks Foundation, a registered charitable organisation, was created in 2020 by Alexandre’s parents, Nicole Gautreau Parks and Cecil Parks. Alexandre, who was diagnosed with auto-immune enteropathy at age 23 months, could not be cured of his disease because there were no effective treatments. It is therefore essential that medical research continues to progress, and that treatments continue to be developed. To accomplish this, the Foundation’s objective is to raise funds so it can continue to offer Alexandre-Parks Graduate Scholarships.
