The Foundation uses two key principles in its decision-making.
It aims for sustainability in its work. It sees itself as a long-term financial instrument. This is why it follows a conservative investment policy that always protects the capital entrusted to it, spending only the investment earnings. For example, our scholarships and several of our programs are funded through income from permanent endowments and are structured to be perpetual. This philosophy is at the heart of our mission.
It should be noted that a portion of our activities is funded through annual fundraising efforts, which are not part of these permanent endowments.
The Foundation always strives for meaningful impact within our community. It aims to be an agent of improvement and real, tangible benefits. Whether through student scholarships, seniors’ housing, a healthcare facility, or a community activity centre, we want to make a difference.
