Our history
The Fondation du Barreau du Québec is a registered charity established in 1978. Born of a joint initiative by a group of lawyers, the creation of the Foundation marks the willingness of the legal community to give an important place to the advancement of law and the support of legal studies.
The Foundation's actions are based on two fundamental mission pillars: the advancement of the law and support for a diverse legal profession, thereby contributing to the development of a more just and inclusive society.
The law is present in the daily lives of citizens and has a significant influence on our lives in society. That's why, since its creation, the Foundation has launched a number of initiatives to advance legal knowledge, which is essential for providing an innovative framework for the constant evolution of our society.
