Fondation Jeunesse des Laurentides

about

The André-Boudreau Foundation and the Laurentides Youth Centre Foundation have joined forces to create a single organization: The Fondation Jeunesse des Laurentides (Laurentides Youth Foundation). This merger marks a turning point for the youth of our region. By working together, the two foundations are strengthening their commitment and becoming the only foundation entirely dedicated to the well-being of young people in the Laurentides.

Mission The Fondation Jeunesse des Laurentides aims to take action in prevention, support, and rehabilitation to promote the well-being of youth aged 25 and under living in the Laurentides who are at risk or facing significant challenges—particularly those under the care of youth protection services (DPJ)—as well as their families and close network.

Currently, more than 6,200 young people in the Laurentides are followed by youth protection services. The Foundation raises funds to offer these young people a future filled with hope and opportunity, helping them find their place within the community.

Our 10 Key Programs

1. Basic Needs Fund: Provides emergency assistance such as food and clothing.

2. Educational Support: Covers school supplies, transportation, and financial aid for youth pursuing post-secondary studies.

3. Moving Out on My Own: Supports young adults who turn 18 and no longer receive assistance from the CISSS des Laurentides. Offers financial help for essentials such as a starter kit, furniture, groceries, or first month’s rent.

4. Make Your Dream Come True: Helps a young person fulfill a dream, project, or passion—whether sports, cultural, or creative—that contributes to their personal development.

5. Special Projects & Santa Claus Program: Funds initiatives that enhance group development or service quality to promote learning and well-being. The Santa Claus Project provides birthday and Christmas gifts to children and teens under youth protection, abandoned, or at risk of abandonment.

6. Specific Needs Program: Addresses essential developmental needs to help young people become functional and independent.

7. Guardian Angel: Sponsors a young person in an ongoing activity, such as continuing post-secondary studies or participating in a sports or cultural pursuit.

8. Day and Summer Camps: Gives youth access to day camps or summer camps where they can build skills, discover new experiences, and break from daily life.

9. Addictions Program: Supports projects and initiatives that add value to prevention and treatment programs offered by health and social services organizations to youth struggling with addictions (substance use or screen dependency).

10. Mental Health Prevention – “Breathe. Don’t Let Stress Have the Last Word!” This awareness campaign promotes positive mental health and healthy screen use. Video clips and downloadable online tools available at tuaslederniermot.com help youth—and the adults supporting them—reflect, learn, and explore prevention and intervention strategies.

Thank you! Your contribution is an investment in hope and a brighter future for our youth.
