L'École supérieure and its foundation
Founded by Ludmilla Chiriaeff almost 50 years ago, L'École supérieure de ballet du Québec, now under the artistic direction of Anik Bissonnette, is the only francophone institution in North America devoted to training international-calibre professional ballet dancers.
The mission of the Fondation de l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec is to support L’École supérieure and its young artists in their pursuit of excellence. It allows L’École supérieure to deliver quality teaching and to remain an educational role model for the entire dance community in Quebec, in Canada and around the world.
The goal of the Annual Fundraising Campaign is to raise the funds needed to offer young, talented dancers from different backgrounds the opportunity of quality training to help them develop their full potential.
The Fondation de l’École supérieure supports also the activities of the Bibliothèque de la danse Vincent-Warren. It also plans to hold a major fundraising campaign for the renewal of the Maison de la danse du Québec Ludmilla-Chiriaeff.
