Fondation Camp de vacances Lac Simon (the Foundation) offers young people from difficult socio-economic backgrounds the chance to experience a summer camp far from the pressures of the city. They are welcomed by a team of volunteers, students, and alumni of Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, who at the same time experience giving, sharing and openness to others. The Foundation ensures the annual running of the camps, and the upgrading of facilities, equipment, and buildings. It also occasionally awards scholarships to help former campers build a brighter future.

The Foundation owns Camp Brébeuf (Duhamel, Quebec), where our activities take place. Camp Brébeuf's infrastructure and equipment must be constantly maintained and upgraded to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our young people.

A $1.5 million fundraising campaign is underway to bring all the Camp's buildings and infrastructure up to standard. The next milestone in our program is the replacement of the main building. In addition to housing the kitchen and canteen, this building is the camp's main gathering place, where campers and counselors enjoy hours of activity and happiness. The multi-purpose activity room is the ideal place to round off the day. Young people gather around a show that gives way to creativity, relaxation, and laughter. These gathering points are a source of indelible memories and are at the heart of camp life.
