The Novatio Foundation was created by the Archdiocese of Gatineau to ensure the continuity of the Church's mission in the Outaouais. Its main mandate is to build up a fund and to provide funding for projects to help the most disadvantaged communities regardless of their beliefs, to promote the welcome of newcomers, to act in favour of reconciliation with Aboriginal peoples, and to support the parishes and communities of the faithful in the region.
