Get involved for the hospital of our Canadian heroine Lucille Teasdale, the Lacor Hospital, located in the north of Uganda.
Lacor Hospital today:
Over 200,000 patients cared for each year (80% of whom are women and children) by 700 Ugandan employees, over 600 students attending the hospital's technical schools, teaching centre for the Gulu govt. faculty of medicine, and internship centre for Ugandan universities.
Following the surge of costs determined by the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economic crisis and recent general public funding reduction, offering highly subsidized care to one of the poorest populations requires significant support.
Lacor Hospital is a driver of development in the region: the largest private non-profit hospital, the largest private employer in the North, technical schools (nursing, midwifery, lab, theatre nurse, anaesthesia technicians), training site for Gulu Gov. Faculty of medicine, Internship site for government and non gov. Universities.

About the Teasdale-Corti Foundation
The Teasdale-Corti Foundation was created by Lucille Teasdale and her husband Piero Corti in 1995 to support the Hospital in northern Uganda to which they dedicated their lives. Our website is under maintenance and will soon return to life: TeasdaleCorti.org
Lucille Teasdale and Piero Corti, a Canadian surgeon and her Italian paediatrician husband, developed Lacor Hospital in Northern Uganda for over three decades, from 1961 until their deaths. The Hospital has survived through conflict, desperate poverty and disease outbreaks. Drs Teasdale and Corti created a foundation to help support and ensure the survival of their Hospital.
The Teasdale-Corti Foundation is a Canadian Registered Charity.
