Food4Kids  provides healthy packages of food for children aged 4-14 years with limited or no access to healthy food weekends or summer months. In response to COVID-19, affiliates in Hamilton, Halton, Mississauga, Guelph and Niagara are mailing grocery cards during school closures.

Within 2 hours of learning schools would be closing, we developed the grocery card program and distribution system providing an immediate and impactful response. 

Where a family cannot visit a grocery store due to illness (cancer, ALS, MS), we are delivering food directly to the home, maintaining safe food handling and social distancing.

2700 children living in deep and persistent poverty will receive $15 grocery cards every week to ensure they have access to food. We will continue this program as long as local schools are closed.
