FoodShare is a non-profit organization that gets good healthy food and food education to schools and communities.
ABOUT OUR CHARITY
FoodShare Toronto is Canada’s original direct field to table Community Food Hub. Since 1985, FoodShare has modelled a food system that is sustainable and accessible to everyone. We deliver good healthy food, and food education to schools and communities through programs focused on fresh produce distribution, food literacy education and nutrition, urban agriculture, and community cooking. One of our key partners is Black Creek Community Farm, and together we’re growing food access from the ground up. All programs at FoodShare and Black Creek Community Farm support a variety of health, economic, environmental, community, and social benefits, and seek to improve food access for people and communities.
