The Forest Museum is the perfect place to learn about and research the history of Lambton Shores. We appreciate your support!
Our society operates The Forest Museum in the building occupied by the much-loved Forest Home Bakery for well over 100 years. With a wide array of exhibits, we tell the story of the community of Lambton Shores, from the time of the early Indigenous inhabitants through to the later Twentieth Century. Our exhibits cover such topics as "The Grand Trunk Railway", "Pioneer Life", "The Victorian Era", "People's Telephone Company", "The Forest Excelsior Band", local churches and schools, fashion, photography, agriculture and the two world wars. We also have a great collection of vintage dolls and toys and you are able to see the oven in which were once baked the most heavenly smelling breads, pies and other treats. We appreciate your support and hope to see you soon at The Forest Museum!
