The Fort York Foundation is helping the City of Toronto revitalize this site through fundraising for the completion of the Visitor Centre
Revitalization of Fort York National Historic Site is well under way. We need to raise funds to complete the Fort York Visitor Centre, including exhibits, kitchen/café; Liquid Landscape; and the dramatic weathered steel wall that gives a sense of the original bluff on which Fort York garrison was established in 1793. We are about half way to our $6 million private sector goal. Nearly $20 million from three levels of government have already been contributed to get us this far, allowing the Visitor Centre building to open in September 2014.
Please give your support to complete the Fort York Visitor Centre, which will support exhibits and exciting programming in 2015, including Magna Carta in the fall of 2015. Also in 2015, look for the Aboriginal Pavilion for the Pan Am/Para Pan Am Games planned for Garrison Common, part of Fort York National Historic Site.
