A charitable society advancing the Christian faith to fulfill the Great Commission through small group self-teaching discipleship materials.
A number of aspects of this series make it unique:
Its simplicity- For the church to become involved in evangelism and discipleship, the vocabulary and terminology must be understood. Where more difficult concepts are explored, they are explained in words the average church member can understand.
Method of study is transferrable- The leader is trained to "lead", not teach. The motto of every leader is: "teaching by asking, learning by searching, and growing by obeying". The art of asking significant questions can change the course of an individual's life. This method of leadership makes the study transferrable. The student is encouraged to follow this example when she or he has the opportunity of leading a class.
Application of truths discovered- Unless a truth discovered is translated into action it has not been learned. In each lesson the student is encouraged to apply the truths learned in order to effect spiritual change.
Mobilizing the church- The simplicity of the course and the method of leadership makes this an excellent opportunity to get maximum participation by the church in discipling new believers.
A manual with helps and suggested answers for every book. This makes it possible for the average leader to be involved in the discipleship ministry. The manual is identical to the student's manual except for helps and extra questions interspersed among the questions, and suggested answers in the back.
An attempt to make it a graded series- The author has undertaken to lay out this series in order of difficulty, beginning with the easier understood manual and progressing to more difficult theological concepts.
Its underlying motivation- The art of making disciples has been all but lost in many of our churches today. This series of manuals is designed to help restore the church to make disciples as mandated by the Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-20
In all of the classes, the objective is always to effect positive spiritual change in the participant's life.
