The new Performing Arts Centre will be the heartbeat of our community: a hub that will serve and benefit future generations of artists, craftspeople, audiences, organizations and businesses.
Funds raised through the Encore! campaign will go toward Fredericton Playhouse Inc.’s commitment to the building project AND doubling our access programs that make performing arts available to ALL in our community.
This 72,000-square-foot municipal gem will be an iconic landmark in a region that is becoming one of the most vibrant in Atlantic Canada. The new facility will feature an 850-seat main hall, a 300-seat flexible-space studio theatre, an amphitheater in the main lobby, and other spaces to inspire connection between artist and audience.
The new building will bring magic and inspiration to our community. As with the Playhouse, the Performing Arts Centre will be a place where all people – no matter their age, background or capacity – can experience meaningful live performances and programs.
