Our mission is to provide services which foster recovery from addictions, and development of a positive self-image and self-worth in a secure and caring environment.

Our program has three phases beginning with the introductory phase (Introductory), progressing to the treatment phase (focus on recovery programs and self-help meetings, sponsor and home group) and phase three which is the transitional stage where residents study, resume working, find living accommodations that are safe, clean and affordable).

If you are a minimum of 19 years of age, have a minimum of 7 days sobriety and are willing to commit to a long term program from 6 months to two years, please feel free to apply for residency at the Freedom Foundation of Nova Scotia.

We are currently housing our 1020th resident since the inception of the house and we have celebrated our 26th anniversary of operation October 2015. 

We have 7 bedrooms which currently house 12 residents. We have developed a follow up program in which we call each resident who has completed phase three to see if they are doing ok. These follow ups are conducted at 1 month, three months, six months, nine months and one year.
