About Freedom Tree
You know those baby showers? The ones where we pat the mum's belly, and coo over cute gifts to celebrate the impending birth? Well they never ever happen in Sierra Leone. Ever. Because every woman is afraid she or her baby will not survive the birth. And by the time you're done reading this paragraph, a pregnant woman and her baby would have died in Sierra Leone.
OUR IMPACT
Our focus is to reduce the rates of maternal and infant mortality in Sub Saharan Africa. We do this through 5 pillars:

Working with communities to reform harmful social practices

Working with local community leaders to mobilize themselves.
Since our inception, Freedom Tree has impacted over 90 000 people in the communities we work in. To date we have seen maternal and infant mortality eradicated in ALL the 9 communities we have been working in with no exceptions. We are in the process of completing our 3rd birthing clinic, building our 2nd school, we currently sponsor 90 children to have access to education, and we have enhanced training for 200 teachers.
