The North Vancouver Museum and Archives (NVMA) is building a new Museum to realize our vision of being “a dynamic and relevant gathering place where the stories of North Vancouver’s people, places and past are given voice”. The new Museum marks a new chapter for the NVMA which has served the community for 50 years but during which time our outstanding collection of artifacts and archival materials has lacked a suitable home. Now we’re building more than a museum, we’re building community.
Our new 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is currently under construction in the heart of North Vancouver’s Lower Lonsdale cultural hub at 115 West Esplanade. Thanks to government support from all levels, 80% of the required project funding is already in place. Now we invite the community to join us; your support will help ensure that when we open our doors in 2020 that the Museum experience is as extraordinary as the North Vancouver community it serves. The Friends of the North Vancouver Museum and Archives Society, the NVMA’s fundraising arm, is a registered charity. Donations are eligible for a tax receipt. We thank you for your generosity.
