The aging process begins when we are born and never stops. preparing for the process of our older years is a key element of our whole life's, whether we are 25 or 95. The Councils aim is to assist all persons in making the decisions for themselves or their loved ones that could make the aging process a journey into joy, not a dreaded event.
What do we do?
The Council provides a broad range of services to the community including:
- Peer counseling for Elder Abuse situations (call 1-855-542-1336). All calls are confidential
- Workplace seminars on issues related to aging or elder abuse
- Workshops for current issues such as: fraud, emergency planning, court procedures
- Public Education regarding such areas as aging in place, health care, seniors and finances, and hospital services to seniors
- Services of interest and assistance to those who are seniors, their caregivers, and "seniors-to-be"
