A feline pregnancy is approximately two months long. During this time, our pregnant moms need a vet visit and a high-calorie diet to support the growth of healthy kittens. The need for this high-calorie diet continues as mom nurses her wee ones - she can have up to eight kittens in a single litter - and often supplements like KMR (kitten milk replacement) are required. Eventually her kittens will start eating on their own, each of them demanding their own high-calorie, high quality meals as their little bodies grow and become strong, plus their own visits with the vet.
