The Guelph to Goderich Rail Trail, or G2G, is a 132 km train right of way abandoned by CPR in 1988 and currently completed as a highly accessible public recreational trail for non-motorized use – walking, hiking, running, cycling, snowshoeing and skiing.
Our goal is to create and maintain a continuous, safe, and fully inclusive G2G Rail Trail experience, spanning 132 km from Guelph, Ontario, near the 401 corridor, to the shores of Lake Huron in Goderich. The G2G Rail Trail is a natural, historical, and culturally significant conservation corridor that fosters community recreation and active transportation, promotes health and well-being, and raises awareness of rural agriculture, heritage, and the environment.
