Gallanough Resource Centre

about

Our Mission

As a community run, private, non-profit library/resource centre, we provide uninterrupted connection and guidance to resources promoting intellectual improvement and community enrichment.

Our Story

The Gallanough Resource Centre is named in memory of the Gallanough family who first bought land and settled in Thornhill in 1823. The Gallanough family played many active roles in the community for over 100 years. The building was built in 1975, and is given a heritage designation by Vaughan Heritage Conservation Districts.

What We Have For You

We are not your typical library, we are more like a community hub or club. The members get to know each other through various programs and events. Our paint night for example is our most in demand program for all ages. It is something the whole family can enjoy. We have something for everyone; through in person programs such as computer 101 and mock interviews to a well rounded online programs such as business 101 and healthcare guide.

Proof is in the Pudding

Gallanough Resource Centre grows with the community. We observe and listen to everyones needs and wants. We are always open for suggestions and like involving anyone who wants to help out. Visit http://www.gallanough.com/ and follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @GallanoughRC
