about

Our mission.  Saving lives on the water.  About the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Quebec).  The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (Quebec) is a non-profit volunteer organization that can count on more than 800 volunteer marine rescuers, ready to intervene at any time, on the various bodies of water entrusted to it in Quebec. The organization can also count on more than one hundred private boats, including about twenty corporate boats, owned by the CCGA (Q), which are positioned at strategic locations on the territory. Thanks to this magnificent  capability, the CCGA (Q) carries out on average more than 500 search and rescue missions per year.We not only respond to marine emergencies, we work to prevent them. CCGA(Q) volunteers are also involved in hundreds of prevention activities with the public. Every year, our volunteers perform nearly 1,000 courtesy checks with boaters, allowing them to obtain their free boat compliance sticker. It can also count on its mascot Bobbie, who visits hundreds of children to raise awareness of the risks near Quebec’s waterways.Your donation helps our volunteers get the training and equipment they need to save lives and stay safe while doing so! You can choose to direct your donation to a CCGA unit near you or you can support our organization directly, as we set our annual priorities for search and rescue and volunteer training. In this case, you choose the "greatest need" tab to support all the units spread over our territory.Your support is vital to carry out our work. Who knows if the next time, it will not be one of your loved ones or yourself that we will save!Thank you for helping to save lives on the water
