Gateway Community Health Centre is a non-profit organization that has been providing accessible primary health care programs and services to Tweed and surrounding area for over 25 years.  Our goal is to improve the quality of life for people so that they can reach their full potential.  In partnership with primary care and broader sector partners, we ensure that everyone has access to the resources and tools they need to take ownership, not only for their own health, but for the health and wellbeing of the entire community.

Health Promotion and Wellness Programs

Gateway provides a wide range of programs that support pregnant moms, early years support for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers, elementary school children, youth, seniors, and those who live with a chronic disease.

Our mandate includes supporting those who live in poverty including sourcing healthy food, locating appropriate housing, completing government forms i.e. Ontario Works, (OW) Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Income Tax and advocating for programs and services which promote health and well-being.

Although our core funding for primary health care services is government funded, additional funding for new health and wellness programs, equipment, and education rely solely on donations.
