GERDY’S RESCUES AND ADOPTIONS is a non-profit organization and registered charity. It is a small but very active grassroots volunteer-based group founded in 2004 by the late Gerdy Cox-Gouron.
Gerdy was well-known in Montréal and environs for her many years of compassion, dedication and success, providing abandoned and homeless cats and dogs in distress with new beginnings through adoption. What guides us is our desire to do “what’s best for the animals” at all times.
We rely on a network of experienced fosters and volunteers to help us successfully place our animals in loving and permanent forever homes. We are 100% foster-based and do not have a physical shelter.
The success we’ve had in finding homes reflects our honest and open approach. We offer full disclosure of any past or existing behavioural or medical conditions.
