We know health, economic, and natural crises can add to the pressures and inequities facing victims of domestic violence and others who are already more vulnerable to economic and health insecurity. People who are surviving violence in their relationships and families may be experiencing increased isolation and danger due to the current outbreak of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). When isolation protocols end, we expect a surge in the demand on our service and will need philanthropic support then, more than ever. We continue to operate our shelter, outreach service and crisis support line, responding to the unique challenges of women facing violence in their homes during this crisis.
