Our Mission
The mission of the Centre is to enhance the quality of life of seniors of the City of Ottawa by dissseminating relevant information and providing recreational, educational, cultural and related support services mainly through the utilization of senior volunteers.
About GLOUCESTER SENIOR ADULT CENTRE
The Gloucester Senior Adults' Centre provides social recreational programming for seniors, 50+. Seniors can take courses in painting, exercise, computers, internet, line dancing, tai chi and more. Activities and games include card games of all types, carpet bowling, darts, curolling, quilting, pétanque-atout, sandbag baseball and the list goes on. A hot nutritious lunch is available daily and a sit down hot dinner each Thursday at noon. Day trips and multi-day travel are enjoyed. A blood pressure clinic and foot care clinic are available. Advocacy for seniors and health promotion are also part of our mandate.
We have over 600 members and they made over 26,000 visits to our Centre last year. The Centre is a warm and caring place that offers fun, friendship and activity for seniors.
