A project many years in the making, the refurbishment of the tennis courts at Victoria Park was first introduced in a re-development master plan back in 2005. Both the Rotary and Kinsmen Clubs have now stepped up in partnership to lead this long overdue renewal. But your generous support is also needed.
Given evolving community needs and interests the layout will be altered to contain a single stand alone tennis court and four stand-alone pickle ball courts. Rehabilitating the courts will see the removal of old equipment, professional repair and finally the installation of a quality acrylic sports surface. New posts, nets, court lines and screens will complete the upgrade. As the area is an important multi-seasonal, multi generational and multipurpose venue a compatible new rink board system will be purchased to facilitate this great recreational skating and shinny hockey location.
The total cost of the project is estimated to be $60,000. With strong support from the community we anticipate a spring 2021 installation. As an added incentive major donations of $10,000 will get a court naming designation. All donations over $2000 will receive signage recognition. All donations large or small, properly filed, receive a tax deductible receipt.
Be part of this great addition to our community by donating now.
