UKRAINE CRISIS APPEAL - helping Ukrainians abroad

Good Neighbours has a team in Romania, near the borders, to assist refugees and people who are still in Ukraine, teamed up with local partners, the Romanian and Ukrainian governments, and UN agencies like UNOCHA/UNHCR.

We have distributed 381,265 kg of emergency food kits in Ukraine so far, helping 39,444 households in Odessa, Kyiv, Donetsk, and Kharkiv, in Ukraine, and Constanta, Romania. $66,430 worth of medicine was distributed.

After reports of fake volunteers offering transportation via social media, providing buses to prevent human trafficking is one of the most important things we are doing. 2,246 refugees were safely transported by our two buses from the Isaccea border to Bucuresti in Romania.

Another way we are helping refugees is by offering shelter and psychological support. Especially concerned about kids' well-being, we have created child-friendly spaces in shelters. 3,998 Ukrainian children have received psychological support for traumatic violence and/or attended activities at the designated shelters. Over 40 caregivers have been trained for the psychosocial support of children.

Shelter support to 2,400 refugees at Galati, Suceava, and Constanta in Romania. Washrooms, shower, laundry facilities, and hygiene items provided.

Our international office has provided an initial aid of $300,000, and, so far, Good Neighbours' support countries fundraised over $2.1 million. Visit our website to learn more about our response plan abroad.

Urgent action is necessary, as the humanitarian need is still rising. Please, donate now.
