The GPVSB works with individuals, workplace volunteer initiatives, and over 90 different non-profit organizations and agencies. Our core functions are:
1. Recruitment & referral of volunteers to non-profit organizations.
2. Professional development for volunteers and volunteer involving organizations.
3. Resource development for the non-profit voluntary sector.
4. Advocacy on behalf of our region's volunteers at provincial and federal levels.
5. Promotion of volunteerism through celebrations such as National Volunteer Week and International Volunteer Day.
6. Community volunteer recognition programs.
7. Operating a volunteer centre in Grande Prairie, AB.
