As we live through this pandemic, more children than you think will require our services. BBBSGM must be present when young people ask for help.

Loneliness and social isolation can be as harmful to health as smoking. If we don’t act now to address the social isolation of the most vulnerable children and youth in Greater Montreal (including youth from Aboriginal, LGBTQ2+, racialized, and marginalized communities), the long-term health and social consequences will be widespread, including increased mental health problems, chronic disease, and crime.

• We are doing everything we can to mitigate the risks during this pandemic and ensure that we get through it #BiggerTogether. As leaders in youth mentoring, our ongoing commitment to youth is vital.
• Mentoring is an essential prevention and early intervention service.
• We are an important resource in preventing and alleviating the distress currently experienced by vulnerable youth.
