This year we want to change the environment for those who use the two Community Palliative Rooms at Columbia View Lodge.  The rooms are used for both respite and end of life situations and are currently cold and uncomfortable.  They are stark with old and damaged furniture and apart from a small fridge have no other amenities.Our goal is to transform these rooms into a warm and comfortable environment for both the patient and the family.  There will be fresh paint, new furniture, (so that the recliners actually recline) and the addition of a microwave, small sink and new flooring.  We feel that we should be honouring those who use these rooms by providing a warm peaceful and pleasant environment for their stay.
