Groupe Paradoxe is a non-profit organization that offers stage techniques training for young Montrealers facing homelessness, social exclusion, school dropout, substance abuse, or mental health issues.

Groupe Paradoxe in numbers:

  • For 27 years, Groupe Paradoxe has been offering stage techniques training for young people in great difficulty.
  • In 2010, Groupe Paradoxe purchased a former church. Thus, in 2014, Théâtre Paradoxe was born, becoming a must-visit performance hall in Montreal and a permanent training platform for young people.
  • The capacity to accommodate young people in training is currently 15 per 26-week session.
  • With a success rate of 95%, nearly 1,000 young people have taken back control of their lives thanks to Paradoxe.

How will the funds be used?

PURCHASE OF NEW EQUIPMENT

  • Facilitate the development of young employees in training and allow them to use the equipment they will encounter upon leaving Paradoxe.
  • Offer a superior quality venue through its equipment and professional team to meet the competitive market.
  • Maintain the Gold accreditation " Ecoresponsable" by being proactive at all levels: waste management, energy, community, etc.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

  • Implement resources and structures to enhance the professional support of employees in training within the venue.

INCREASING CULTURAL OFFERINGS

  • Increase the number of performances at Théâtre Paradoxe.
  • Enable the democratization and accessibility of culture to the citizens of the South-West and surrounding areas.
  • Promote Quebec's rich and diverse culture.
